Built Like a Champion
Earlier this week, I was watching a Netflix special about these amazing Olympians in track and field with a good friend. We were both amazed at how dedicated and determined they were. They were pushing their bodies like machines. Breaking previously held records, they were not limited by "it's impossible" or "I can't" or "it's too hard".
Later on when I went to the gym, I shifted my mindset to think about these strong men and women. I began to think of pain as fuel instead of weakness.
Can you believe I performed stronger than ever? I ran faster and lifted heavier and sustained for a longer period of time. The lesson in this is that the story we tell ourselves will either limit us and keep us in the same space or build us into Champions. What story are you telling yourself about your abilities or your situation?
