While I was preparing for the most exciting time of my life, some of the people closest to me seemed to be doing everything in their power to steal my joy.
To lead in life or in business, we must be able to cultivate followers. If no one is willing to follow us, are we really leading?
I’m not who I was 10 years ago or even 2 years ago. One of the gifts we have in this life, if we chose to honor it, is growth.
Your importance is not aligned to your title, but it’s aligned to the impact you have on the world, to your family, to your friends, but most of all the impact you have on yourself.
I’m going to be very transparent in saying that this was a long and exhausting week. In fact, it was so draining that I really didn’t know what I wanted to talk about today, and true to form, I’m going to talk about why I was feeling drained.
I’ve noticed that there is so much miscommunication that stems from lack of communication, or more specifically fear of communication. More and more people are offended and or are afraid to offend, but if we don’t start speaking up, and sharing our truth or our experience, we might as well start a “mission” to train and hire full time mind readers.
To understand what procrastination is costing us, we must first understand why we do it. People generally don’t procrastinate because they are lazy, but they actively and intentionally avoid doing the very thing that they have committed to do.
We allow communication to either unite us or destroy us. What's your communication goal?
This week on one of my walks, I thought to myself what if the seasons are actually a visual reflection of the cycles we have in life?
Some of you may have decided what you’re doing now just isn’t for you. You need something new, and you’re excited about the possibilities of a career shift, but how do you even get there, what could you do?

Today I’m sitting here reflecting on how much love I have in my life and it’s such a blessing. Who’s in your corner matters. Over the past few years, It hasn’t been easy, but sometimes you have to hold people at a distance, and learn to preserve your peace.

Have you ever heard someone say “Just Fake it Till You Make It?” I don’t know why, but it always made wonder what else that person faked...
Every year around this time after the holiday shopping dies down, and the leftovers fade, the question come up…So what’s your New Year’s resolution? What’s your goal for 2019? What big, drastic change are you going to make? I’m not really comfortable with resolutions, so I don’t make any. I create intentions!
Do you feel like there’s more for you, more for your life, but instead of living the life that you want, you’re constantly fighting obstacles that are getting in your way? You might be at the effect of your life and not at the cause.
Everything might be important, but asking clarifying questions will help you determine how to prioritize. This situation often comes up in the workplace. You know the drill, it’s 4:45 pm on a Friday and your manager comes in with a task s/he needs done “right away.”
STRESS…in whatever form (relationship, work, financial) is taking over your body. You are tingling from head to toe; you want to dissolve into the ground. You feel anxious and your heart is pounding. You start to think about all the what if’s and you really begin to get dizzy and possibly cry or scream.
